Host a workshop
In-Person
Most Own Your Health workshops can be offered anywhere with a private space with capacity to hold approximately 15 participants. Workshops are currently offered across the entire state at:
- Senior centers;
- Worksites;
- Healthcare provider practices;
- Assisted living facilities;
- Community centers;
- Churches;
- Libraries;
- Public housing authorities to name a few.
Most of our workshops are offered in English and Spanish and can be offered at an intimate setting with a minimum of 8 – 10 participants. Participants come together for several weeks learning, sharing and supporting their peers as they make positive health changes in their lives.
Virtual
Most OYH workshops can be offered virtually via zoom with two certified peer leaders and a technical assistance liaison for additional support. Workshop participants will need access to laptop, smartphone, or tablet to engage in programs held in the virtual format.
